The home school journey can be challenging, but you don't have to travel it alone. CHARGe is about coming together, making connections and joining like minded individuals who will support you, cheer you on, help you celebrate your wins and lift you up when you feel like your struggling. CHARGe is perfect for free range homeschool families who may not want to be part of a formal co-op, but would rather pick and choose activities or create an activity to share with others. Chances are you will find your niche here.
Get Inspired
Not everyone home schools the same way. Seeing how others school can be helpful - especially when you find yourself hitting a wall. There are many homes school philosophies. What works for some does not work for others -even in the same family. Need ideas for curriculum? Looking for a unit study? Our members are usually full of good ideas.
Exchange skills
You do not have to be an expert in every subject to home school your children. Successful homeschooling is rarely accomplished in a vacuum. The key is collaboration. So you're terrible at math but an accomplished writer, chances are someone in this group is terrible at writing, but an expert in math. Wonderful home school communities promote collaborative learning. Parents helping parents by capitalizing on our collective skills.
Create Opportunities
What about socialization? That's the question we all get asked. Just because we home school does not mean our kids miss out on milestone moments or lifelong friends. Home school parents have to create our own activities for our kids - no one else is going to do it for us. Part of CHARGe's mission is to create opportunities and experiences for our kids on par with -or better than- the public and private school systems. Field trips, science labs, clubs, dances and regular social activities are one of the main focuses of our group.
